Haritaki (Terminalia chebula)

Haritaki is described as the ‘remover of diseases’.  It literally means ‘green’. It is also ‘abhaya’ or ‘fearless’ of any disease. A great healing plant from across Asia, particularly in forests of Northern India. It is from the species of Terminalia,  and has a long history of medicinal use as a health panacea, adaptogenic tonic and natural cure for a wide variety of disorders and diseases.

Ayurveda  recognize Haritaki as the ‘king of medicines’ and  destroyer of  all diseases.  A great appetizer and digestive , promotes longevity , cures anemia , cures diabetes, hypertension and heart problems , enhances memory , enhances strength of sense organs , it  removes all waste from the body,  promote tissue growth and health,  purifies the blood and removes fat residues from the arteries and veins.
